About Our School
Scranton is a highly effective (3.5 Star), scholar-centered PreK-8 school located on the West side near Tremont and Ohio City. We are staffed to serve a diverse population of young scholars, including a strong bilingual program. All of our classrooms are equipped with Clever Touch boards, and each of our scholars have their own device to use at school. We currently have 2 full day preschool classrooms.
We partner with Scranton Road Ministries, The Pivot Center, and Horizon Education Centers in order to offer programming after school . We also offer many other after school clubs throughout the school year including cooking club, board games club, art club, etc. We have a boy's basketball team (2012/13 City Champs & 2024/25 Finalists), girl's volleyball team (2023/24 City Champs & 2024/25 Finalists), guitar club, girl scouts, and an extensive House Team Program led. by our scholars. We partner with Metro Hospital to provide onsite medical services every 2 weeks, and we have other partners that provide dental treatment and glasses for our scholars. Finally, Families First is onsite daily to provide counseling services.
